I wanted to escape the parade of our schützenfest, but suddenly i was in the middle of it. . . I was amused of the looks of these guys and how they wondered "what the hell is that grey furry in his hand?" but no-one was hero enough to ask me ;)well, the recording is a great one! but i guess i will never be that near to a marching parade again. This is from a fan audio recording of the 1967 doctor who episode "tomb of the cybermen". The sound is now in the public domain. In 1967, these cybermen were voiced by peter hawkins using a vocoder or an electro-larynx, a device used to restore speech to those whose vocal cords are damaged by detecting vibrations of the throat. At the very end of part 2 of "tomb of the cybermen", the cyberman controller is awakened and says "you belong to us, you shall be like us!" to the cast.

Fast train passing, approx less than 3m away from track with tascam dr-05. This is a good recording although:i was glad to find a place to record a passing train without any kind of other disturbing noise and people! but i was really p. . . Off when right after the train passed an older guy with his bicycle stopped right beside me (you can hear him braking and stopping) "are you recording?" - "no, i´m just here planning a train robbery. . . ". .
This is a simple recording of open air white noise of a quite room. I've used this in quite digital passes in some of my original music to help make the digital instrument sound a little less sterile. This is a full unedited take. You will want to crop the start and end sections so you don't here me cutting the recorder on and off ect. I hope you can use this if you need it!.

My "falltuer samplepack" deals with the mysterious sounds i recorded from the door to the loft of our appartement :o. The recordings are made with a tascam dr-05 in stereo. I added a low- and hipass and some fadeouts to make the sounds more enjoyable but apart from that it's raw.
